CCS Play-offs Round-Up: Watsonville 1-0 Alisal; Wildcats cap dream season with Division I title win, Alisal puts in quality performance -- STM Staff

Friday, February 25, 2005 - The Watsonville Wildcatz defeated Alisal, 1-0, to capture the Division I CCS title in a game played at Piedmont Hills High School on Friday night in front of a packed crowd of onlookers and supporters.

High school scoring sensation Rene Aldama scored the game-winner in the 70th minute to clinch the title for Watsonville's longtime head coach Roland Hedgpeth. Alisal was definitely in the match to the end and could have tied the match with a bit more luck in front of goal. Alisal coach Jesus Sanchez praised his team's efforts after the match.
